Chapter 14: Hidden Message

Sometimes a book carries messages the author never consciously plans. They slip in between the lines while the writer is focused on plot, character, or voice, shaped by beliefs the author is still trying to understand themselves. These unintentional truths surface through scenes, silences, and choices made on the page, revealing what matters beneath the story being told. It’s one of the reasons fiction is so powerful. It doesn’t just invent worlds, it exposes them, allowing meaning to emerge naturally rather than be forced, often saying more than the author realized they knew.
